COSMOS Emulation of 5G and Satellite Network Coexistence in FR3 Spectrum
Project Motivation: 5G and LTE networks currently operate on FR1 Spectrum (Sub ~6GHz), and FR2 in some cases, also known as mmWave. There is a push for 5G implementation on FR3 Spectrum (7.125 GHz - 24.25 GHz), as it would provide higher bit rates in a comparable range to the FR1 spectrum. However, some satellites, especially those for TV Broadcasting, operate within this spectrum. Therefore, we want to experiment with coexistence scenarios.
Technologies: ORBIT testbed, Linux, Python, C++, MATLAB, GNU Radio
