-Googling for the last bit yeilded this page (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=35517) which basically told us to do a reconfigure on the locale package. When I tried to reconfigure it, the session barked because locale wasn't installed. An '''apt-get install locale''' later, and the commnad runs with sucess.
