Also, copying them to your local computer is always a good idea. Since it is impossible to keep too many claimed images, given hundreds of users of ORBIT, please keep them at a minimum number, deleting unnecessary old ones as appropriate. For now, unclaimed image files with unmodified names (nodeX-Y*.ndz owned by nobody:nogroup) that stayed unmodified for more than 5 months are deleted automatically in case the designated disk runs out of space. However, this policy might change in the future, should the disk space management need more tight control over the number and size of images a user can keep on our servers. |
