== COSMOS Emulation of 5G and Satellite Network Coexistence in FR3 Spectrum ** Project Motivation:** 5G and LTE networks currently operate on FR1 Spectrum (Sub ~6GHz), and FR2 in some cases, also known as mmWave. There is a push for 5G implementation on FR3 Spectrum (7.125 GHz - 24.25 GHz), as it would provide higher bit rates in a comparable range to the FR1 spectrum. However, some satellites, especially those for TV Broadcasting, operate within this spectrum. Therefore, we want to experiment with coexistence scenarios. **Technologies**: ORBIT, GNURadio, and Linux **Team**: Arjun Prabhala & Nihal Shah **Advisor**: Narayan Mandayam == Week 1 **Progress**: Familiarized with project background | Ran imaging on ORBIT node | Explored GNURadio **Slides**: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1XZdzpMfxnq4JEk58zeUvRjsmbcgNSL34BzEbD0gNqYM/edit?usp=sharing == Week 2 **Progress**: Researched OFDM | Explored SINR | Emulated 5G OFDM signal over ORBIT **Slides**: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/12H7bJ18MbV9L3hO-X1SBmuOIxEJkcXjQIC-BXjZSFUM/edit?usp=sharing == Week 3 **Progress**: Familiarized and created GNURadio custom blocks (SINR calculator, time signal multiplexer, etc.) | Simulated DVB-S2 coverage in MATLAB **Slides**: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Ux0W6el2XMl9vqyWLWUc5Q8rqPco4IBStreYWhX97lc/edit?usp=sharing
