== Introduction ==

The ORBIT Chassis Manager 2 (CM2) is a simple subsystem for automatic and manually driven node hardware management such as local or
remote system resets, power on/off operations and remote serial console access as well as monitoring the status of node (such as system temperatures, voltages, fans, power supplies, bus errors, system physical security, etc.). 

CM2 builds on the success of it's [wiki:Internal/CM predecessor] and adds more capable micro controller, additional nodal wireless interface support, better portability, wide area wireless control channel support and location awareness.
