Rick,

Unfortunately lowest you can go down with the cards we have won't be 
enough to create reliable multiple-hops in the ORBIT grid room. You 
might consider using ORBIT noise injection framework for multi-hop 
topologies though. See http://orbit-lab.org/wiki/HowTo/UseNoise for an 
example use.
