Since the driver loads and depending on the sandbox node you are on
you will already get some few ath# interfaces created. If ath0 is
already there then you will get an error when trying to create it.
What I'd suggest is to try:

wlanconfig ath2 destroy
wlanconfig ath2 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode ap
