Hello All,
I've released a new feature for the ORBIT lab.
It's a way to easily simulate smooth mobility and arbitrary topologies
without using the robot or the noise generators. If radio congestion were
not an issue you could simulate all four hundred nodes flying around in 3d
space, or build basically any topology you're interested in testing with.
I've added a page to the wiki to describe the process:
http://www.orbit-lab.org/wiki/HowTo/virtualMobility
Basically its a madwifi patch that allows you to set arbitrary 'percent
packets received' and 'rssi' values on either a per MAC address or global
basis.
Since this is just a driver modification, it will work just as well on the
sandboxes as the main grid (but sinces its madwifi based, intel cards are
not supported).
I'd welcome any comments, feedback or improvements!
Thanks,
Chris
