Vanessa,

if you got a system going down message it was because someone issued
the shutdown message. This means someone shutdown the box while you
were logged in. Wtmp Logs show the following logins for today on sb1:

Then on sb1, node1-1 syslog shows:

Oct 15 13:49:29 (none) shutdown[5328]: shutting down for system halt
Oct 18 10:49:13 (none) shutdown[2704]: shutting down for system halt
Oct 18 11:16:04 (none) shutdown[1947]: shutting down for system halt
Oct 18 11:25:06 (none) shutdown[1766]: shutting down for system halt

The only questionable item here was root login on sb1 @ 11:34am but
this was after you reported your issue (11:27am).

That said, someone rebooted your box, perhaps jumping the gun they
could have used it without checking the schedular. This happens and we
do our best to prevent this. Apologies for any inconvenience.
