ORBIT-USER: not able to complile madwifi

Hi Nath,
Usual convention when asking for assistance on errors like this is (more
or less)
- pasting the complete error output to the mail
- specifying versions of any software that can affect the error (kernel,
compiler, make tools, erroneous software itself etc.)
- explaining the procedure to get the error (to be able to reproduce the
same error you have observed)
For your specific case, however, it was simple because the error you saw
was already telling you the reason and what to do:
Makefile.inc:89: *** /lib/modules/2.6.17-2-686/build is missing, please
set KERNELPATH. Stop.
So, the short answer is: Console is used to control the sandbox, it is
not the right place to develop/compile code for the node itself. So, try
compiling on the node. If you get the same error, you just need to
install the kernel source (or at least headers) from our apt repository.
