Oh, I'm all for that - I'm just looking for a way to leave the system  
in the same state
as during the experiment _after_ it has finished - that way I can  
take a look and
see what nodehandler did.

Ai, alas I'm trying to avoid the bare metal, as I like the  
nodehandler abstraction, and
see potential in the way it handles measurement through OML. It's  
just that sometimes
its not obvious where to look to understand what it's doing..
