ORBIT-USER: Next available slots are Dec 23th ??

Hi, Max and other users,

I was away from the ORBIT for three months, and I found out that the
next available slots are Dec 23th when I tried to restart my experiments.
Is this because of approaching deadlines of some special conferences? At
least, this is not because 100 users are trying to use the ORBIT; Only 6
users are actively using the ORBIT now.

Also, I know that the reason for limiting one experiment slot to 2 hours
is to avoid the monopoly of the ORBIT. However, if some students reserve
three slots (6 hours) in a day, then I think the 2-hour limit is
meaningless. I think this is why the next available slots are in a week
away. So, I would like to suggest that we allow a student to reserve
only one slot (2 hours) per day when they want to reserve 24 hours
before, except some special cases where they need admin's approval, and
within 24 hours multiple reservations be allowed (if there are any empty
slots).
Generally, people are doing experiments from 9:00AM~ 12:00AM (more than
7 slots). So, current 6 ~ 7 users should be able to do experiments
everyday without any starvation in this policy.

Thank you,

Sangho Shin

P.S. I found out that there is another 'Sangho' in ORBIT users. :-)
