And I probably created a lot of confusion about this...
Let me backoff a bit, since these radios are designed having these
laws of nature in mind, and to great extent are able to cope with
them.
After calibrating everything, double checking for broken cables, loose
connectors, and similar we will be able to tell whether what we
observed with fancy instruments effects communication between the
nodes. It will be no surprise if it turns out that propagation
patterns do not cause problems you observed.
